I can't say that I knew this doggie much. But I do know he loved to bark a lot, and to hunt rats. He died today.

I watched "Guardians of the Galaxy" yesterday at the very first Alamo Drafthouse in Austin, TX, and I cannot remember the last time I had so much fun watching a big blockbuster movie. My favorite character by far, was Rocket Raccoon.

The Monkey King

Self portrait

I cannot quite remember when was the last time I did a self portrait (aside drawing myself in a cartoon form). I do have admit, on how soothing this exercise has been. Being very self conscious of my body image, this has taken me a lot of courage to post. I love drawing.

More practice.

This Haavard. I've always found him quite a character to draw. Each year, it seems that I take a stab at drawing him again. I hope him and his wife approve.

Isabel

I met this wonderful woman, Isabel, about 8 years ago at a dance club in El Paso, TX during a winter break. In a spontaneous attempt to dance with her, under the mild influence of my friend beer, I gathered the courage to ask her to dance with me.... including her friend Gladys. We don't speak much, but we never lost touch. She was my last minute date to my brothers wedding last weekend and this is something from that night. She is a dance teacher and I might have put my heritage to shame with my dance moves.
